Woodchucks emerging from hibernation
Last week, woodchucks began to emerge from hibernation. Often times, this is completely normal; the woodchucks may go out in search of their mates, copulate, and return to hibernation. In some cases, (especially with yearlings who did not put on enough fat before winter) the woodchucks may be in distress. Each case is unique. So, please call us (267) 416-9453 if you’ve crossed paths with a woodchuck that may need help. We will assist you in assessing the situation.
